The BitBox hardware wallet line started by Douglas Bakkum and Jonas Schnelli in 2015 with the original BitBox01, formally known as the Digital BitBox. The BitBox01 was one of the first hardware wallets available on the market.

In 2019, the BitBox02 was released. The hardware wallet combines state of the art security with a focus on usability and ease-of-use to create a truly compelling product for the next generation of bitcoin and cryptocurrency users.
